has anyone heard of major online credit card clearinghouse crashing last week?

greenspun.com : LUSENET : TimeBomb 2000 (Y2000) : One Thread

Just informed today that company that processes about 60% of all online e-commerce sales via credit cards, crashed last week.

They were supposedly upgrading their computer systems. Don't know name of company....something net.com or net something.com?

any ideas, news, info re: y2k related?

thanks.

I have a really really close friend who I have worked with for almost 6 years now and I'm really fond of her because she is special to me in alot of ways that she will never know. I know I drive her crazy because she takes alot of what I do as serious because she takes me serious because I think she really respects me alot. and sometimes I get really frustrated because I think she is awesome and I want to express that to her in alot of weird ways and she always take it wrong and that creates alot of problems that should not be their for people that have been thru so much together. but anyway she emailed me today and told me that something like this was happening and I would like everyone on this forum to know I really really like this person a whole lot and don't know how to express it to her.

David, I think of you as a really really close friend, and I have only known you a very short while, but I really really am fond of you and your special to me in a lot of ways, ways you will never know. I know that you drive me crazy because I take a lot of what you say as being serious because you take me serious too because I think you really respect me a lot, but you get really frustrated because I think you are awesome and I want to express that to you in a lot of weird ways and you always take it wrong and that creates a whole lot of problems that should not be, for there are people that have been through so much together. But anyway, I got your e-mail, and you told me like something was going to happen or did happen, (I forget), and I would like everyone on this forum to know that David Butts is a name that he really, really lives up to, BUTT, A**HOLE, RED EYE, CREEP!

Looks like imposters may be playing again. Sysops, time for a trace.

Little Miss Muffett, or whoever the hell you are...David Butts and I happen to work together and are good friends. He and I had a huge fight the other day and after reading my post he responded as above.

Since you don't even know this guy, maybe you ought to keep your insightful adjectives to yourself, butt-wipe.

Now, can anyone seriously answer the above question about the clearinghouse debacle?
