From the LA times and article concerning Federatd Investors Mutual Funds. ------ "Federated has combed through the hundreds of stocks held in the companies 130 mutual funds, in hopes of identifiying companies vulnerable to Y2K-related problems. Thus far, says, J. Thomas Madden, Federated's chief investment officer for US equities, the team has found that about 2% of those companies- many of them energy and old-line manufacturers - have yet to file paper-work indicating that they have full debugged there systems. Wouldn't we all love to know just who those energy companies are, and even more interesting how many other energy companies out there have not fully debugged their sytems. This tiny, tiny, wiff of smoke seems to cut right to the heart of it.

This is ridic. You think anyone can pick those Y2K vulnerable companies by combing through? Nah. They all are vulnerable because the market is not going to hold up. It's all interconnected. That's the point.
