Where can I buy C2000Z lens cap??? help

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Imaging Resource Discussion : One Thread

Please help me. I bought a Olympus C-2000Z by internet order and I got it few days ago. But I didn't order case. Yesterday I lost it's lens cap. I think I need a case to hold that camera to prevent collision when I take it out. And more important, does anybody know how to buy a lens cap for Olympus C-2000Z? Without the cap, the surface of lens is easy to be scratched. Thank u.

Most camera shops should have a cap for your lens. How much was it when you ordered your camera? Does it come with 2 cards or 1?

Bye!

I too lost my lens cap for the C2000Z about a week after I had the camera. I have been searching for a replacement for two months. I even e-mailed Olympus and asked for a part number which I could order. The official reply was "no part number available" !!. One thing I did is buy a CLA-1 adapter ring which attaches to the lens and then you can purchase a 43mm lens cap (readily available) which fits on it. However the lens is now too big to fit in the case. If anyone ever finds a replacement lens cap for the C2000Z, I think it will get sold out because of the ease of loss. If I ever find a replacement lens cap, I am going to drill a small hole in it and somehow attach a string and tie it to one of the loops.
