Just bought a Nikon LS-1000 Coolscan, which powers up and makes all the right noises, but refuses to preview or scan images. The film slider starts to move, but stops after a few millimetrers and I get an error message on screen.

I'm using a Blue and White Mac MT, 400 Mhz, 9 GIG U/W SCSI. I also have an Iomage Buz ultra SCSI card in one slot. When I connect to the ultra wide card I got with the Mac, the scanner is not recognised. When I connect via the Buz SCSI card, the scanner starts up, but acts as described above. Any ideas would be most appreciated.
