Will the four digit year patches handle years in the 5000 range??

i think that this is all a bunch of bs there is no real "y2k" as many seam 2 claim!!!! the fact is is that y2k happened a thousand years a go!! cuz a.d. 1 was the strt of the first a.d. 1001 second a.d. 2001 strt of the third!! so thaqt is my responce jerk!!!!
