This just in:

(And from the "factoid" file, did you know that Russia's missiles are "permanently mounted" shall we say, while China's are mobil? Little tid-bit I picked up from Senator Bennett on CNNfn the other day. That's why the U.S. has been so concerned about Russia. Anyway, some good news. I'm glad to hear it.)

U.S.-Russia to cooperate on Y2K missile warning WASHINGTON, Sept 10 (Reuters) - The United States and Russia will sign an agreement in Moscow next week for their military officers to jointly staff a centre in Colorado as the new year dawns to watch for any false warnings of missile attacks sparked by year 2000 computer problems, the Pentagon said on Friday.

The agreement will be signed on Monday by U.S. Defence Secretary William Cohen and Russian Defence Minister Igor Sergeyev during a visit by Cohen to bolster U.S.-Russian defence cooperation, a senior Pentagon official told reporters.

(Just passin' it on.)
