Ricoh after three request did not respond so I guess they don`t care about the consumer after the sale.If anyone out there knows how I can fix this problem PLEASE HELP,THANKS John Sheckells trinity@sanctum.com

Is this windows specific software? Maybe it's using the registry to keep count? Which would explain why things would be hosed when switching files to a new computer. Or maybe a .INI file? I'd check that one first. Look for .ini files in your Ricoh file transfer program directory and check to see if there are any values corresponding to # of files transfered. Or maybe it has something to do with the date stamp on files, which were changed when you transfered them over.

Well, I had to read your question 3 times, before I understood what was going on. The above Answer Is the fix for this situation, since the camera does not "know" that you switched computers. The quick fix, if you don't want to edit the registry or .ini files, is to just create another directory. (ex. oldpc) Move all of the 1132 pictures to that directory and continue. Yes, you will have identically names files, but I would guess that eventually you would be renaming those files as you went. hope this helps
