Cleveland Plain Dealer 9-9-99 article : LUSENET : TimeBomb 2000 (Y2000) : One Thread

The Cleveland Plain Dealer proclaims today in its front page article(above the fold) that "The Y2K threat is turning into one big flop." So now we can all go back to sleep and dream sweet dreams. The threat was a big joke all along. Oh Happy Day!!! Thanks PD!

Chuck, I'm on the west side of Cleveland. I've been a lurker here for over a year now and I really enjoy the forum. The regulars at this forum were right on target about the 9-9-99 "straw man" that the media would use to calm the masses about Y2K. Check out the PD article when you get a chance and note the warning at the end of the artice.

What's at the end of the article? For those of us who don't live in Cleveland....

Here's the message they're sending out to the media from the Bonneville Power Administration:

"If the first big dress rehearsal is any indication, the Y2K bug may be no big deal."

And that is a VERY big IF. How can the 9999 be compared to 2000? Typing in 9999 happens once in a blue moon, but typing in 2000 is going to happen every day next year.

IDIOTS!!! 2k.test/

The opening line is Y2K is a big flop. The ENDING is if this produces complacency we're in DEEP TROUBLE.

But it's buried on page 15.

AGENDA, ANYONE??? If your sources say what you don't want them to, you bury it. PFM, I say, absolutely Wonderfully, PFM!
