Why does my CD player skip whenever anyone walks across the room? And why does the TV flicker whenever anyone moves? (Use your imagination or die!)

Because your TV is of poor quality and because you walk too hard and jar the CD player.

My radio does that when I walk across the room, but that's just because my town gets horrid reception from everywhere. Perhaps there are little people who run the CD player/TV and when you walk across the room it makes the little tiny people fall down and the CD skips (or the TV flickers, take your pick.) or perhaps you've got nifty magnetic powers that hurt things like CD players and Tvs. Except then you wouldn't be able to be on the computer as much as you are. so scratch that. I vote for the little tiny people.

Well, now, to answer that question, I would have to know what your relationship with these things is like. But for now I'll just go on what I've drawn from various things you've said.

Your television is probably feeling neglected after many years of non- use. So, inevitably, it wants attention. Unfortunately, it can only reach out to you when it's on. So, this is what it does. It also has a fear of you leaving the room while it's on, making all its hard work go to waste. My advice would be to treat it very gently. You don't necessarily have to watch it more, just give it a chat every once in a while. Studies have proven that it can hear you all the time, it just can't react unless it has electrical power flowing through its (veins?).

Now, your cd player is harder, because I know you pay it a lot of attention. My guess is that it's getting cocky with all the usage it gets, and showing off in front of the tv. (Are they anywhere near each other?) It skips as if to say to the tv, "I can skip ahead of the song, shortening the amount of time it takes to play the cd, but still I know I'll be awake longer than you!" Now I'm not sure what to suggest here. The obvious solution is to cut down on its usage, but I could never ask you to do that. Maybe you should organize some counselling sessions between the two things and try to get them to come to a state of friendship. Sorry about the length of my answer!

i think that fact that yr telly flickers is due to the amount of daemonic protoplasm running through the veins of the rest of your family. yr telly knows this, and flickers. (to a telly, flickering is like letting out little shits of terror) and the cd player.... well, that is actually possessed by the daemon yog-sothoth. and its just doing it to pis you off. i suggest aversion therapy. hit the cd player lots, (this is sometimes known as emergency repair procedure number 1, it works, ive used it.)and maybe it will get the message of the more it jumps, the more you hit it, the more pissed off you get.

Daemonic protoplasm? What utter tosh! The reason why the TV flickers is simple - it isn't actually flickering at all. Zed is simply blinking without realising it, and thus perceives the television as flickering. Ditto the CD player, but in an aural instead of visual sense.

And I refuse to hear any rebuttals based on the argument that 'ears don't blink', because they do. Oh yes.

(recovers from using middle name) Your CD player is really a record player in disguise, and your TV is really the microwave. Which would explain the obscene number of cooking shows on the tube...

nonononononono..... it isnt a micro wave oven, its a heart monitor. however, every time zed walks across the room, the heart rate monitor(tv) detects the increased heart rate and gives out those cool wavy line things. the cd player is actually a machine which serves as the voice of dog.(thats gods name, known only to his friends)and the voice of dog(also known as the metatron) doesnt like the cure. or the smiths. or any other music exept the soundtrak of the sound of music. and spring time with hitler.(but only on a tuesday) so there ya have it. conclusive proof that i really DO tell the truth sometimes.

problem with bad electricity, I have 3 computers and two tv, all 34 monitors and the tvs keeps flickering for nothing, even when everything is off, and the next day I open my computer the monitor is still flickering. I have to keep the refresh rate at 60hz so that it doesnt my eyes that much at a higher refresh rate it flickers so bad, plus Im plug on a good UPS bar. But the problem is the electricity its causing something with the Screens such like TV and monitors, but why?? Is there any somekinda of magic plug that when you plug it on the wall then plug your monitor it will removed bad statuc/frequencys in which will stop having bad refresh rates? email me if you know about it,.
