Adapter K Field Test

This interesting accessory can really reduce the weight of the equipment you are carrying if you use both 67 and Pentax 35mm formats. The adapter allows the use of 67 lenses on all Pentax K mount 35mm cameras, as far as I can tell. The manual for this lens does not recommend the use of wide angle 67 lenses with this adapter. I have tried them and find that they seem to work. But, I did not try the 35mm fisheye, only the 45 and 75mm. I suggest using one of Pentax's pro level 35s, such as the LX or KX with the adapter. The adapter allows different angles of view with the same lens when different (67 vs 35)bodies are used. The fit to the 67 lenses is tight but the fit to 35mm bodies has a slight movement. It takes some getting used to the mounting of lens and body with the adapter. Reminds me of the outer bay lenses. BTW, the outer bay lenses seem to work well with this adapter. All diaphragm control is lost when using this accessory. Stopped down metering and shooting is necessary. Overall, it is a useful tool. SR
