what is available in scanners for med format negatives? Can you get a scanner for a moderate amt, or are there only high end scanners for med format?

yes affordable 120 scanners are available. The Minolta Dimage Multi scan is the best scanner for the $ in my opinion. It will do 35mm and aps also.
