Ref M17/47 gas masks, water inlets and Camelback systems

Yeah, I've been a bit of a stranger over here, but I've been busy. Try voluntering for something and being taken up on it. Changes your whole viewpoint. NOT complaining, just alibying (sound it out, you're right it ain't spelled right but....) ;-)

Surely there are a couple current SEALs, Marines, SF'ers, or Rangers out there who are using the Camelback Hydration systems. (A friend worked for a bit with a company called A-16 in CA and had a LOT of Navy/Marines coming in with their ladies and telling them about the great Camelback stuff.)

The question is HOW DO YOU (or DO YOU) attach the Camel Back to one of the mask water inlets?? The inlets are designed to attach to the converted canteen cover for drinking in the mask. Is there a specific attachment for the Camelback tubing that will attach and actuate the valve in the attachment, the way the canteen cover does? It's spring closed, on the inside and I haven't seen a way to gimick it for the tubing. Chuck
