A Millenium Preparedness Conference is slated for 8:30 a.m.-6 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 11 at the Double Tree Inn, 1 Doubletree Dr., in Rohnert Park. Sponsored by PIE (Parents Involved In Education) the program will feature the following speakers and topics as described in a press release on the event: Dr. Stan Monteith, talk radio host and historian : ""Y2K - Bump In The Road or World Crisis?'' Ron Wilson, author, financial lecturer: ""Social Security, Banking and Y2K.'' Berit Kjos, RN: author, UN reporter: ""School-Based Health Clinics - Back Door To Socialized Medicine.'' Tom DeWeese, author, editor, The DeWeese Report: "Y2000 Outcome-Based Education And The Environmental Movement.'' Phil Graf, Bureau Chief, Coast Writers Syndicate, ex-military officer: ""Dealing With Disruption, Practical Personal Security.'' Orlean Koehle, flood survivor, President, Northbay Chapter, PIE: ""Preparedness Learned The Hard Way.''
