I would like to know which camera on the market under $1500 offers the most zoom and best print as of August 1999. I want a great picture with good color and clarity. I had my mind set on either the coolpix 950 or the C2000 zoom. I had the chance to try the new sony with the 14x optical zoom and really fell in love with the zoom distance and I haven't seen other cameras with more that 3x optical zoom. Also, I'm not sure about the print quality compared with the other two.

unfortunately sony's mavica digicams have the worst print quality in the digicam industry. If you care about print quality the other two you mentioned wouldn't be bad.

If you really like the Sony FD91, you have to ask your self if you are going to print pictures above 4 x 6. Picture quality is fine on a Mavica, as long is you do not print larger than this. Another Sony camera you might look into is the DSCD770 it is at the upper end of your price (depending on where you buy it) range and it has a 5x optical zoom(roughly 28 - 140mm zoom). Another bonus, is Sony's Lithium battery
