I would like to buy a flatbed scanner with a 12x17 scanning area. It would be used primarily for archiving artwork on CD's. No one carries these in stock, so I have no way to "test drive" the products. I have found very little info on the net comparing large flatbeds. They are rather expensive, and I hate to pay so much for a product without getting some type of recommendation.
