How Do You Get Audio To VCDs When You Burn Them?

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Video CD : One Thread

Okay I know this has been asked several times, but I have yet to really find an answer to the question. I am very new to the whole art of making VCDs. I have have tried twice now to burn VCDs, but each time when I played them in my DVD player, I could not get any audio what so ever.. (the video was great!) I am using Adaptec Toast 3.5.7 and Astarte M.Pack 3.0.1 for Macintosh and am working on a G3 333mhz (upgraded to 400mhz). After I spent a mind-numbing 11 hours converting a raw mpeg to a toast ready file with m.pack I have learned that I messed something up somewhere along the lines. If someone could just respond and let me know the settings I need to set m.pack at so I can burn with audio from now on it would be MOST appreciated. thank you in advance

I really don't think that it is possible with this combination of software.

I'd like someone to prove me wrong ;-)

Me Too! I've tried to do exactly the same thing with the same combo of software, but cannot get sound to appear on playback via DVD player, just video. In my case, I started with an MPG file which when you get info using QT - says there's just one track (that presumably contains both A & V?). Arrrrrggghhh!
