Does anyone follow the info on Gary North Site??

greenspun.com : LUSENET : TimeBomb 2000 (Y2000) : One Thread

Hi All - I usually have the updates page on the Gary North site bookmarked in order to keep up w/current newsworthy Y2K information. Gary North does a great job of researching and organizing information on his site. I may feel he personally is a bit extreme in his opinion, but never the less, his site is very informative. He typically updates his info daily and is very good about this.

There has been no update today!!! Has he disappeared also???

Just curious if any others read his site and noticed??? Liz

Gary North skips a day from time to time. Nothing to worry about.

Yes, but doesn't he usually tell us he won't be posting for whatever reason, like he hurt his finger or he's doing misison work in the prison. I thought that was kind of odd too.

I don't follow his site, nor many of his specific ideas.

Your mileage may vary.

He skipped a day a few months back. He got so many anxious emails that he came back the following day and said (or words to this effect): "Come on, Folks, get a life! The success of your day shouldn't depend on my site! Go out to SAM'S and buy another bag of beans."

Maybe that report about people becoming Internet junkies has some truth to it. Gary's all right - he'd let EVERYONE know if someone was trying to close him down.

I noticed the same thing. Not like the good Doctor to be silent w/out warning.

Actually Garys' site is good, but if you want real time action this is the place, no doubt about it!!

Gary can miss a day from time to time. I like Gary North, but THIS is the place to be. I'd have it as my homempage, but too many server timeouts for comfort ....

while gary is out for a day... lets talk condiments and spices... or smoke detectors and fire extinguishers...

anybody heard anything about the progress on the prezs y2k bunker? maybe the press out to press for details.

Gary's site is well organized, but he is usually a day or so behind us. The resources here are truly amazing. If it's Y2K related, you can bet that it will show up here first.

I wouldn't worry about a missed day. It has happened several times in the past year. Believe it or not, he does have a life!

I used to follow the Newset Links page, but these days I seem to find things before they appear on North's site.

Although North got me started looking, my actual conversion to GI status I owe to the Weather Reports.

Gary just posted on his web site.

Gary doesn't post on Sundays; otherwise, he posts everyday, as far as I've been able to tell, except on the rare occasions when he has let his readers know he wouldn't be doing it.
