A Word of Warning

I guess checking the "use by date" on cans of food is pretty automatic by now for most of us & we are all stocking up on goods such as tea & coffee that are coming from the Third World.

But do you check on the country of origin of non-edible goods?? Maybe you should. For example I bought a mantle for my Aladdin Lamp today & found it was made in Brazil ..a high risk country.Guess who went out & got two extra mantles!

When Union Pacific and Southern Pacific merged, if I recall, some company in Idaho ordered coal from South America because that was faster than waiting for the RR to move it from Wyoming.

Doesn't matter where it comes from; you can't predict what the bottleneck will be. Be ready with all your preps, all you use, so you won't need to buy more for a while. "While" is, in geekspeak, undefined.

1) Buy Kaua'i coffee...(unpaid advertisement). No third world supply line problems.

2) Outstanding advice on stocking up on items produced by areas which might have problems...be sure to remember spices, chocolate/cocoa, and parts for imported machinery.
