Why no mention of the Sony Mavica series cameras?

Yes, Dan's right, Sony doesn't seem keen to get us any of their cameras. I *think* we've finally got them talked into eval units of their higher-end models, but not a peep about the Mavica. They * definitely* belong on the site, I have some hope we'll get something going there before too much longer...

Paul:
I don't really know the answer - but as I have heard Sony aren't keen to send their cameras to reviewers. I think this paranoia only hurts them if it's true. While their cameras don't compete well in the number of pixels categorie - they do compete extremely well in nearly every other category - and even set some standards other manufacturers have shrugged off (Image stabilization, 14X optical zoom, MPEG Movie mode, Save to floppy).
Resolution is certainly a consideration - and I wish Sony would produce more resolution on a floppy based camera. I'd also like to see them adopt a high capacity drive (yea - I know that would be a battery killer, but hey - NP550 batteries are a lot cheaper than 64 meg memory cards).
