I like it quite a bit. It's very similar to something I took a few years ago. One thing I've found is that with this type of semi-abstract composition, the rule of thirds isn't as imporant. In my shot, I placed the "out of place" subject (a dandelion) in the dead center of the frame of background (brown fall leaves.) Maybe it was a mistake but I like it better that way.

Thom, I like the subject, rich colors and the composition, but on my monitor it looks a bit soft. Perhaps this is the scan. In any case, good eye! Donna

The softness of what I assume to be the main subject, (flower) bothers me, as does the large amount of green which lacks detail also, if the idea was to convey the isolation of the flower you succeeded, but it does not hold my attention because of lack of sharpness. pat
