getting pregnant : LUSENET : Doula.Com General Discussion : One Thread

I am having problems trying to get pregnant and I know that this is for women that are pregnant. Do you of anyone that I can talk to about this? My husband and I have been trying for 6 years and I just had a surgery and my Doctor cleared the scar tissue out of tubes, but we thought that I would already be pregnant. So...this is the problem that I am having and ran across doulas in my search of fertiltiy. I have a appointment with my Doctor next week, and I am going to ask him to put me on some fertility drugs becasue cannot afford to do invetro. I had my appendix burst when I was n the 4th grade and had a pelvic abycess and bowel brockage, from that point I have had 8 surgeries and even though I know that there is know scar tissue right now in my tubes I think that every month that goes by I am loosing another oppertunity I could be pregnant. So if you have any advise for me I would appreciate it so much! I am starting to feel desperate so anything will help at this point!! Thank you for your time! Marcy Byus

Hi Marcy, Have you tried prayer? Sometimes the answer we need is outside the medical arena. Have faith.

Dear Marcy,

I read your posting tonight at Perhaps at this point you have conceived? My prayers are with you and your husband.

Have you considered acupuncture or craniosacral therapy? My acupuncturist has had wonderful success with couples who have tried everything else. If you want a referral for craniosacral therapy, you could check and go to the link to find a practitioner. You may want to look for someone who also has training in visceral manipulation.

I am a massage therapist, doula, infant massage instructor, and a craniosacral therapist. Yes, I have many interests, and they all flow together beautifully.

I attempted pregnancy for about three years and then my husband and I split (not due entirely to the infertility). I have had three surgeries related to the "infertility". I have had a lot of acupuncture, which has been incredibly healing. My heart goes out to you.

I have found much healing along this journey. My newfound service work allows me to use my maternal instincts and to find peace. I still have hope of one day conceiving and giving birth. My partner and I are considering a family sometime in the next year or so. I'm now 34 so I don't want to wait too much longer. However, I have come to find peace with whatever my path brings.

With warm thoughts and prayers,

I have just come across a fascinating website This gives details of healing fallopian tube scarring with specialised massage.

Good luck!
