Kodak DC280

Has anybody tried the Kodak DC280 yet? I'm torn between it and the Nikon Coolpix 950. I sure like the 20 MB card and the rechargeable batteries that are included.

I just ordered the Dc280 from www.onsale.com, they have it for 666.79...personally I like the looks of the kodak a lot better than the nikon....also I've read some reviews that say the dc280 is awesome....I'm sure the price will sway you over to the kodak...since most retail places charge 750-799 for it...I should get mine in the mail by tuesday at the latest..so i'll come back and let everybody know what i think....not that anybody cares :)

Paul,

I'm hoping by now that you have purchased the DC280 and will be able to articulate your photographic experience. I too, am considering the 280, for its price and its features. Additonally, the colors are reported to be fantastic. I am apprehensive about the resolution/definiton though. I had a 260 that I actually liked a lot until i compared it to the OLY 450Z (with only 1.3 mega pixel ve 1.6) Beleive me, there was NO comparison. The Oly was far superior with all images I took. Having said that, the >2megapixels might make the resolution and clarity/detail better...Inquiring minds want to know! :-) BTW if anyone has any experience with this camera, please advise ASAP as I am getting quite anxious. Is this camera in the same league as the Nikon 950 or the OLY 2000Z?????????
