I am contemplating the purchase of a Minolta EX1500-Zoom digital camera. Reading through all of the available reviews and specs on the web, I cannot find one feature I really like on my old Casio QV-100. The feature is file size reduction (or resolution reduction) right on the camera, without having to transfer the higher res files to PC first. This feature comes in quite handy when you are on the road and run out of memory.

Well,right out front, I'd like to say I do not have the camera. There fore, the only infor I can provice is pure observation. The Minolta does not appear to have physical buttons for changing the resolution and compression. It all seems to be in the onboard software. 2 levels of resolution and 4 levels of compression.
