A lazy person's composting secret

Years ago my mom lost a football bet with my husband, unbeknownst to me - she had wagered a dirty book. Pretty soon it arrived, covered in an old shopping bag inscribed hubbys dirty book in a plain brown wrapper. Inside we found Crocketts Victory Garden, with plans for the cadillac of compost bins.

Well, it was a beauty of a compost bin - but we were lazy gardeners and it soon transmogrified into a great tater ranch.

Around that time I watched my neighbor dig a little hole in her worm box and dump her kitchen scraps in. She had a box with red wigglers in it, there was no odor or fly problem and soon no more turn the compost left undone on the Honey-do list.
