Timecounter on Video CD

How can I make a Video CD that displays a time counter on my DVD player. I have a original Video CD that does this but Video CD created with Easy CD doesn't.

Please help

If you created a VCD that played straight through (VCD tracks only, ver 1.0) then you should see a time counter on your player, as well as track numbers. If you created somehow a VCD that has a menu (and therefore playback control making it ver 2.) and PBC is engaged, usually there is no time counter on the player display; instead a message like 'PBC ON' is there. At least this is how my Pioneer DV301K player works.

Thanks a lot for your reply.

What program can make a ver 1.0 Video CD?

I haven't found any settings in Easy CD Creator for 1.0.

When you insert the VCD in the DVD player, do not hit PLAY. Hit the numeric keys such as 1 to play the first track, 2 for 2-nd track. You will see the track number and the time counter. That's what I got with my Pioneer DV-333
