which can shoot dance photos for brochures?

Please help! i want to buy a digital camera and need it to shoot dance photos...very fast action...and also art photos(not fast action) for advertisements such as brochures, magazine display ads. Can the sony cyber shot handle it? What about the top Kodack 265? Any suggestions?

Cathy, I know nothing about the Sony, but have seen some very nice results from the Kodak 265. Wait a sec--have seen results from earlier Sony's--I don't know about the latest generation, but the earlier ones put out very inferior results compared to what I have seen with the latest generation of Kodaks and Canons. We have just gotten some new digital cameras and I will try to post some user updates when I get a chance to check them out thoroughly.

I've had the Kodak dc265 for a few weeks and am generally quite pleased with it. However, it is NOT the camera to depend on for action shots, because its LCD screen is v-e-r-y slow to update when your subject is moving. If you haven't already, check out the thorough reviews of this camera (and others) at http://www.megapixel.net and http://www.askey.net.

I don't know anything about the Sony cybershot so can't comment on it, but given your needs I'd probably go with the Nikon Coolpix 950.
