Which teleconverter lens to buy for Oly C2000z

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Imaging Resource Discussion : One Thread

I want to buy a teleconveter lens for the C2000z. Which is the best to get - the 1.45* from Olympus or the 1.8* from Tiffen or others? Anyone got any experience.

Any tips how to get best results from the lens?

Anyone in the UK know where to get the Tiffen? Only seem to be able to get the 1.45* over here.

I'd like to know this myself. BugEye Digital (www.bugeyedigital.com) lists several telephoto lenses from Raynox suitable for digitals, including a 3x! I'm very intrested in their "HD747T2 - 2x Telephoto High Definition Lens" but I'd like to find some sort of lens reviews to complement the various hardware review sites. I've had experience with Tiffen's 1.5x tele on an Epson PhotoPC 500. I couldn't live without it... well... at least I couldn't have taken decent photos without it. The PhotoPC 500 was only a 640x480 digicam, so I couldn't really tell if the Tiffen was less than perfect, but it was all that was available at the time. I'm trying to get a 43mm=>37mm adapter ring to try the Tiffen 1.5 on our Oly C2000Z. I'll let you know how it works. BugEye Digital also carries the Tiffen line, and so does DC Pro Europe (www3.red.net/dcpro/access.html) according to Steve's DigiCams page (www.steves-digicams.com).

I recently bought a Tiffen tele for my C2000. I have posted a review you may be interested in: http://members.xoom.com/trinidad/C2000/tele.htm
