is there a limit to as how big you avi file can bee when you capture. my files dont seem to play after they reach 2gb.

Windows limits the max filesize to 2GB. Check out AVI_IO at http://www.nct.ch/multimedia/avi_io/

AVI_IO is a work around to the current AVI file limitation problem. Note, it doesn't INCREASE the size of the AVI file limitation BUT DOES eliminate the "problem". It's $25 US.
