Anyone ever used an infrared download to a computer?

I noticed that some Kodak digital cameras (e.g. DC200, DC210 Plus, etc) have an infrared port for download to a PC. My laptop has an IR port so I am wondering if anyone has ever USED the Kodak IR port to transfer pictures, and how fast is the download time?

OK, it's pretty lame to answer my own question, but: I just found a spec sheet at the Kodak site that lists the transfer rate of both the serial connection and the IR connection as 115 Kb/s.

It's kind of silly to use this for laptop when you can just stick a card in a pcmcia slot to transfer the images instantly.
