money puzzle question

greenspun.com : LUSENET : MAME Action Replay : One Thread

i was just wondering if on solo play that a perfect score is 64? i been hearing lotsa stuff about it and if it is i would suggest changing the scores for solo play into regular score (not 2 digit)

and another thing: what are your strategies. i like to build a big chain at the start and then later on i switch to plain ol' "grab 'n spit" (thats what i call it) going as fast as i can

It's a little thing that's hit my mind - yes, 64 points seems to be a perfect score in Money Puzzle Exchanger, 16 points for each of the four categories. Unlike Comotion, Blockade, Bowl-O-Rama, and the like however, it's not one of those easy-to-tie games. Sure, there will be more ties than the other 11 games, but I doubt everyone will be getting 64 points...

I don't think 64 is a perfect score. The Level Score is basically points based on time. Every 15 seconds of gametime a player gets 1 point. Donut was only a couple of seconds away from getting 64. Another 15 seconds later he would of had a total of 65...

Somehow I doubt that 64 is the maximum number of points possible.

Max Chain score: your longest chain, plus 1. (17-chain, anyone?) Points score: Not sure, but I believe it's roughly 1 point per 10k. Chains score: One point per six chains. (Almost definitely. I've gotten over 100 chains, I believe I scored 17 here, end of story.) Level score: This is a pain to figure out. Level 19 is worth 9, level 20 is worth 10, level 21 is worth 11... so it's not linear, but figure roughly one point for each level beyond 19, plus 9 for making it to level 19.

In other words, if you REALLY worked at it, a score in the 100+ range should be possible. You'd have to pull off over 150 chains (with a 17- or 18-chain in there at one point), make it to around level 35 or so, and score almost one million points. Maybe I should make THAT my next recording...

64 is maximum.I have seen gamest record holder's play 2 years ago.

2 hours.99 over level, max chain 40+,(during deleting, scroll down to create more coins). and enomous number of chain. He stand up with 9,999,999points and bow down to all galary, but score is 64. gamest knows huge numbers of players tie-to 64. so compete by score and finished 9,999,999.
