Dinner Menu #5 is up at Camp Why-Too-Ka. This time it's Slade's Beef Bourguignonne. We'll be putting up #6 some time tomorrow. Dinner #6 has a salmon and rice recipe, for all of you out there storing those 50 lb. sacks, (not that you need 50 lbs for this recipe). Here's the link:http://www.campy2k.com

PS. Also, for those who have been asking us about a certain item, it's up.

Thanks, Cindy Lou! Has Helga considered maybe using crackers instead of the breadsticks on the fish patties? I don't know many people who are stocking up on breadsticks and just wondered if crackers would work? What is the shelf life of breadsticks?

Helga is one writing recipes and Helga likes working with breadsticks because they are easier to crunch nicely and evenly, and there are only a few types of breadsticks, so Helga does not have to specify exact type of crackers. That said, crackers are fine for coating fish patties. Breadsticks, once opened, still have shelf life equal to wheat from ancient tombs of Pharaohs.*

Well, almost. Cindy Lou says don't exaggerate.

Cindy Lou, here, Slade has laryngitis, which is why the camp songs aren't done yet (I know singing has nothing to do with songwriting, but if you knew Slade, you'd understand.<
