( acly ) will supply its navig8 2000 software to y2k computer compliance projects at nuclear power plants in the former Soviet Union. In a press release friday, Accler8 said the effort is sponsored by the U.S. Department of Energy to solve y2k coding problems in Soviet-designed reactors. The company said Navig8 2000, which functions in multiple languages and alphabets, is designed to help plant computer experts detect y2k vulnerabilities in their applications. The software will initially be used in Ukraine, Russia, and Lithuania. Accelr8 develops products and services for year 2000 and software that functions as a bridge between UNIX and VAX computing environments. i really don't understand what those 'crazy' anti nuclear activists are so worried about, this should solve the impending crisis... just the way they solved it in the united states.
