Polaroid Polavision Land Camera

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Imaging Resource Discussion : One Thread

Dear Sir, My mother recently passed away. In her basement, I found a polavision screened player. along with eight tapes. I know that my parents purchased the polavision camera around 1978, maybe before that year. I took the tapes to a photography shop to have them transfered to a video. They called a photography company that they work with and they said that they would be interested in buying the screened player. I have no idea of the worth of the item. Could you give me any information? Linda Hyer

Dear Linda, I'm very sorry for the loss of your Mother. I too have a Polarvision system that we purchased in 1981. I have 3-4 tapes that I would love to have transferred to DVD or video tapes since they contain precious memories of my son's first steps etc... Did you ever end up getting your tapes transferred? I'm having trouble finding someone to do it for me. I really have no interest in keeping the equipment, but without it I'm unable to watch the tapes. If you have any information about a source that I can contact I would be very grateful. Sincerely, Diane Myers
