Not being a computer expert but familiar with the humanities, I look at the y2k situation from a social and cultural perspective. Regardless of the outcome, bump or grind, this is a fascinating issue because it involves questions about the nature of life in our society. We have been riding a techno-roller coaster for actually over 150 years now, and the pace of change has so accellerated that society is having great difficulty keeping up with the ethical and political questions it poses.

May I suggest that a category be opened under Society/Culture?
