I would like to know what kind of ventilation is needed for a kerosene heater. I plan on being in the suburbs (no choice now) and I will hole up in the basement if TSHTF. If kerosene won't work, please let me know what alternatives there are.

Or you can just crack a window in the room you are using the heater in order to replace oxygen spent in the combustion process.
