Y2K Conference at GWU: News?greenspun.com : LUSENET : TimeBomb 2000 (Y2000) : One Thread |
I'm surprised that there hasn't been much traffic about the July 26-30 Y2K Conference at George Washington Univ. Did I just miss some threads? I would have thought that a get-together with a list of speakers that reads like a Y2K "Who's Who" would have generated some serious discussions.I saw the thread about the Y2K testimony of Ms. Williams-Bridgers (State Dept. IG) before the Senate on the 22nd, but nothing about her partipation in the GWU conference.
What news?

State Department official stands firm on Y2K dangers

Lane -My point exactly. One item from WND and otherwise: nada. Was this 4.5 day kaffeeklatch simply a non-event? Was the State Dept. IG the only speaker to say anything noteworthy (and that a rehash of her previous testimony to the solons)?

That is the only media attention to the conference that I have seen.
