Know a good soundtrack for Tae-Bo?

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Squishy : One Thread

If you've been doing Tae-Bo for some time, then you're probably sick of the soundtrack. The music, although not really loud enough to notice, isn't what I would call motivating; and after a few weeks you don't want to listen to Billy talk about that damn cup of water.

So what would be a good substitute if you were to mute the tv and crank up the stereo?

I tried the Ramones, but ended up getting ahead of Billy. So I guess the real question is, "What would have the correct rhythm?".

Has anybody tried this with any success?

AHHHH! That horrible music! Well, I've tried The Chemical Brothers, Moby, New Order...and I also end up ahead of Billy. I've decided to forgo music and listen to talk radio while imagining I'm beating the crap out of the blonde Bobbsey Twins. True, I have to concentrate a little harder and count, but anything's better than that short haired girl's grunting.

I've done pretty good with Fatboy Slim's "You've Come a Long Way, Baby" with the Basic workout. I also find that a great mix tape works every time. Rage Against the Machine's self-titled album will help you punch those Bobbsey twin girls, by the way.

Plus you're kicking and punching to Zach screaming "Fuck you! I won't do what you tell me!"

first of all, i'm embarrassed to admit that i have been sucked into the tae-bo fitness craze..ugh, as long as no one knows that i've succumbed to a trend, yikes...but....as much as i love the workout, yes we can all agree that the music is the most unmotivating, uninspiring, waste of sound ever known to man. i've tried *so* many different cds that it's just to the point of absurdity.

but here's my suggestion, find a good techno soundtrack, something like matix, or go for chemical bros, sloan, or crystal method. i always end up getting ahead or behind billy's beat but....after a time or two i've memorized the routine and i can just adjust my workout to follow suite, loosing or adding a beat, let's face it billy is inspiring at first, but after a few go arounds, i just want to tell him to shut the hell up so....i say memorize the rountine, find some music that makes you just want to kick someone's butt and go forth and conquer that flab......heh, g'luck and remember that cup of water. =)

I know I'll be racked for this, but I like that Ricky Martin song...the soccer song....the ole ole ole (or whatever) song.

Ok, last night I did Tae Bo for the first time with a new soundtrack. I used Ultimate Dance Party (volume 1) and it worked pretty well. Also, that Ricky Martin World Cup song, although it is performed by Ricky Martin [aka: Pamie's secret boyfriend], is really good too.
