Rx from Mexico

Just a quick update. We made our trip to Mexico last week, and came back with over $400 dollars of assorted prescriptions. I plan on at least one more trip soon. According to two different pharmacies, the deal is that you can take three of each kind of Rx (other than narcotic type) per adult back over with no problem. They said to just have our receipt handy. They asked what we had, and we started listing off the souvenirs for our kids (which were strewn around the car in plain sight) and they interrupted and waved us through. They were more concerned with the car across from us that was trying to smuggle aliens in the trunk. Silvadene was only $2.50 for a small jar. We picked up Erythomycin, Amoxicillin in various dosages and forms (including pink powder to mix up for little ones), Cephalexin, Lidocaine spray, and some other things, too tired to remember. If you are interested in prices, I'll try to post some later. The pharmacist in Rosarito spoke excellent English and was very helpful. Also, if you have prescription bottles for pain killers etc. you can bring an empty bottle and they will fill it, then you can legally take it back with you. We were very happy with the results of the pharmacy, now if only I felt the same about the cheesy souvenirs we grabbed for the kids at home....
