Letterman...

greenspun.com : LUSENET : TimeBomb 2000 (Y2000) : One Thread

Just as I finished a response to FM on another thread (got a little mystical too, must be the vodka in the freezer), on David Letterman, Dave and Paul reminded us that at the beginning of the year, Late Night billed itself as the "Official Late Night Show of the New Millennium."

In January, each night, Paul would make a stupid prediction for soomething that would happen in 2000. Dave asked him if he had a prediction tonight, and Paul said, "In the new millennium, people are going to FREAK OUT!" and the camera went in and out in that goofy way when people are trying to fall asleep, and everybody laughed.

I guess you had to be there...

Any other observations of Y2K/millennial madness in the culture at large? Wouldn't it be interesting to have a document of all this stuff?
