SONOMA Y2K WEB SITE GETTING READY FOR THE FALL

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Sonoma County : One Thread

Dear friends,

I am planning some changes at the website in the fall when I expect interest in Y2K to pick up. As you might have noticed there has not been much activity at the web site or on the alert list. This is due to the real lack of anything to communicate locally right now. Most community groups have stopped meeting due to lack of attendance or interest. It seems impractical to regularly post articles to the Sonoma Y2K site from the national Y2K sites when most of us go there ourselves regularly. In the fall, the situation may be different and we want to be ready to help. I plan to have a local resource guide for preparation on the site as well as other information. I could use your help in developing the site further and would welcome your ideas on what to include. The whole point will be to include resources people could use NOW if they were just beginning to prepare or were amplifying their preparation efforts. Let me hear from you.

Many supporters have been posting their own material as they see fit...and this has really served to widen our base of activity. Anyone who has articles or ideas or needs should feel free to post them at the Main Forum section. The more contributors we have, the stronger our web site becomes in its diversity.

Hope you are all having a great s
