Has Ed Shut Down His Site?

greenspun.com : LUSENET : TimeBomb 2000 (Y2000) : One Thread

Has Ed taken his site private? This is what I've gotten the past 24 hours when I use the url: http://www.yourdon.com

Directory Listing Denied This Virtual Directory does not allow contents to be listed.

Am I the only one? Or is the site now closed?

Believe he said he was changing ISP's in one of his posts last week.

Stay tuned.

...don't know why some of you are having trouble connecting to my site; I'm going to be moving to a new ISP in another week or so, and maybe that will help clear things up.

I too have been getting that message. Sooner or later all the pollys and trolls will. They are weeding them out one by one. Can you say GESTAPO??? There are many back doors to get into these sites though, or I wouldn't be here. TA TA :)

If his site was "down", then you would have the popup window stating that the site could not be found, or that a connections with the server cannot be established.

At present, you can reach his server, but the home page is removed. If the server is sloppily configured, one could then see an FTP-like directory structure of his site.

Or, we could be hitting his new provider and Ed hasn't placed the material on it yet.

Not too worried about it...if it was THIS place I couldn't tap into, that would be another story ;-)
