Where are the dates

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Electric Utilities and Y2K : One Thread

I liked the old format just fine! Particularly I liked the date function so I could see how old a post was.

I also would rather have the option of seeing how many resonses (the number of replies) rather than all of the replys. However the reply issue is a matter of personal likes and dislikes.

Keep up the good work on the forum.

Hmmmmm. Nothing has changed other than a password requirement. The rest of the format is the same as it ever was. Perhaps you're coming in on the "thread" side of the greenspun.com bboard - here's the correct URL for the forum index, which (again) has not changed in format:

why is a cookie required?

and exactly what is it tracking on my system?

To store the password, so you won't be prompted repeatedly. So I suppose. But, it doesn't seem to always work on this machine.

Actually Marianne, Those Cookies grab your email address from your email client, your IP address, and send it all to a central database on a secure CIA server....we track those who do not cower to the official line....lol.
