Brooks, Know if the consumer protection for mortgage default made it into the bill? I didn't see it in HR775 but it was in the conference report. My customers may be affected by Y2K and I want to know what my options will be if I have trouble making payments.

br - Section 4(h) of the compromise version provides a 4 week grace period if a y2k failure results in an inability to accurately or timely process a residential mortgage payment transaction. (And lots of other related language the significance of which I can't decipher.)
