CONTRA COSTA 2000* MEETING - August 5TH, 1999

(*Formerly called Y2K Contra Costa)

Y2K COMMUNITY PREPAREDNESS Our Mission is to explore the Y2K computer problem - its possible effects and ways community members can be better prepared for whatever may happen.

2425 Bisso Lane in Concord (off Concord Avenue - entrance on Bisso Lane).

Anyone interested is invited to join us in our meetings. No Cost to attend.

6pm - Newcomers We will view the Y2K Investigative Video shown on TV June 30, 99.

7 to 9 pm - Regular Meeting Rod Bacon of Oasys Networks will speak to us about getting small business and home computers Y2K prepared . Rod does this work for a living so he is quite informed about it. Come with your specific questions.

Last meeting speakers, Ed Calderon (CB Radios) and Terry Matzkin (Ham Radio) told us about these emergency communications systems. Some of us are considering getting our Ham LICENSE to help out in emergencies. (You can not use Ham Radio without one). For more on this call Bruce 676-9268 THIS AUGUST 5TH MEETING IS THE ONLY MEETING SCHEDULED FOR AUGUST.
