General questions to the tournament

Hi, I've got some questions about that tournament...

2020 BASEBALL, did I understand it right that I can choose any team, any league and the $ after the game counts?! I tried recording the gameplay but recorded was some game with the same teams but totally different (non-realistic) player movements?! What could it be? I am using the Mame 0.35 Final Fix. Is there some instructions for that game, with detailed keyboard control??

PANG 3, how I can I choose difficulty 6 or is it the default mode?

US vs THEM, does it matter that it's not emulated right? (Non-working)

A general question, when I play MAME a bit longer, the hd starts to "track" around slowing down the gameplay, what can I do to prevent it?

2020bb has the same controls as other mame neogeo baseball games :

Hitting: cntl=swing, alt=steal/run, space=bunt, shift=menu/chg.batter Pitching: cntl=pitch, alt=pickoff, shift=menu/chg.pitcher

and joystick/arrow keys control the directions of the button actions.

pang3! i hope is already set to tourney settings by default, you can get to the settings menu with F2 but it's in oriental characters.

usvsthem is emulated ~ok, it just doesn't have the laser disc playing in the background where you would be able to see the hidden ships/shots.

not sure what you mean by hd tracking, i can only assume you have other programs running in the background that would slow mame down. you should be able to prevent slow downs by making sure mame is the only thing running, otherwise you may have to play on a faster computer.

The most common cause I've seen of the HDD being accessed in this way and slowing down the recording is if you have MS Office installed and have not disable Fast-Find.

Check your start-up group to see if Fast-Find is included. If it is either tempoarily (or better yet permanently) delete it from the startup group. It's of very little benefit unless you're creating huge numbers of documents and even then I'd argue that it's worth running it.
