The GW Y2K Conference (July 26 - 30) focused on a broad range of issues relating to Y2K and embedded systems. The four and a half days of programs were videotaped and will soon be available for viewing at http://www.y2kapproaches.com/real/pgordon.htm.

For some papers, transcripts, reviews, and other material pertaining to the conference, see http://www.gwu.edu/~y2k/keypeople/gordon/1999conference.

Congressman Kucinich made a presentation about Y2K emergency preparedness efforts at the conference. He also engaged in a dialogue concerning the President's apparent strategy regarding Y2K. This subject is discussed in Part 4 of my White Paper on Y2K at http://www.gwu.edu/~y2k/keypeople/gordon. The full transcript of the Congressman's comments concerning the approach that the President is taking are in the Appendix to Part 4.

(Additional programs and tapes of interest are available at the RealVideo URL noted above. These include a press conference with Ed Yourdon and myself held in late March. The topic was further actions that the Federal government needs to be taken.)
