Ever been in a "shortage" situation & been told that regular customers get priority ??

Happened to us a couple of winters ago when there was a really cold snap.All of a sudden no portable heaters & no gas available anywhere.We had to stop work for a week as we couldn't heat the workplace sufficiently.

Since then,every winter,we place regular orders & no problem..gas is put by for us...even if it is in short supply.

So use the time to network with suppliers..whether it is the local beekeeper(beeswax for candles & honey)(remember he could run out in the Autumn),the propane gas supplier,the local grocery shop etc.If it isn't a 10, supplies may still get through on an irregular basis.A little bit of chat now together with a regular purchase could put you on that "priority" list next year.

Yep. Happens with motorcycle parts all the time. The shop's out of new ones, but IF they know you they'll find you a perfectly good used part from their stash and sometimes just give it to you for free.

A little greas in in the palm goes a long way.[TIP"S] I have all ways tip people .and become a regular customer, I go to one mechanic,feed store,food store,post office,go in to the elect..compy and pay at the same window.and at christmas each year I give theys people presents. for the mechanic I'll drop off a larg pizza and 6pack of pop.the others .Candy in a cup or jar,gift certifichte to a movie. some time I'll give people things that I'ev can'ed .People will remmber you this way.
