Answers

I just had a follow-up e-mail from Paula Gordon saying she had just heard from Gen. Kind's office that he is not going to be speaking.

She didn't give a reason; I don't know if the General's office gave her one or not.

Marianne, it's been too long since I've been in the D.C. area. However, the best map link I could find for the city is at:

http://www.worldexecutive.com/cityguides/washington/maps.html

Be sure to take a tape recorder with lots of tapes. I'll look forward to reading your reports on anything you hear of interest! I'm sure there will be lots of other people there who will give an assessment (Cory Hamasaki, Bruce Webster, et al) but the more viewpoints the better!

Sorry, http://www.mapquest.com is a much better resource. I can't believe how many broken or crummy map links there are around!

-- Anonymous, July 15, 1999

It's all too obvious.

That Lt. General fellow chickened out when he heard Marianne is going to be there.

:-)
