Mazda and Compliant Models....

I spoke with a mechanic this morning and was told that Mazda had sent his shop a letter informing them of two models that were not Y2K compliant and may not work come the rollover.

I pressed him for the name of the models, but he was vauge on the specifics. He couldn't remember accurately.

I got the impression from the conversation that they were older models of trucks.

I went to the Mazda site to see if I could find anything pertinent to the conversation, and soon discovered that they don't have anything at all discussing Y2K.

Is there somewhere to look?

Regardless, have other manufacturers sent out similar letters regarding the compliance of their older vehicles?

I know that Ford has stated that all their NEW vehicles will work. Though they did not state ALL of their vehicles would work. It seems obvious that they arn't since Mazda is a Subsidiary.

Drive a Mazda?
