Resampeling

In reading your explination of how you manufactured the sample images, I wonder if resampeling them back up to size did not produce a negative effect that masked the original sharpness of the higher resolution images. We all know that resampeling up is a big NO NO for quality imag

The idea with the resampling was to show the images at the same relative sizes, as if they were printed at the same final size on an output device. You're right, there is some effect of the resampling itself, and there's at least one approach (name escapes me at the moment) that is sharper than the bicubic resampling that PhotoShop uses. Still, I think the relative results are pretty indicative...
